Your door finish is by far the best in the industry. The 14 separate process steps include 3 coats rust proofing, 3 coats primer, 3 coats color, 4 separate baking cycles, and 1 clear coat finish. Our paint is Zinc-rich Fluorine Carbon Epoxy paint made by Hampel. It is a very high-quality and expensive metallic fluorine carbon paint made from fluorocarbon co-polymers – It performs perfectly for durability and protectiveness of your door finish. Long-term use and testing have proven its weathering ability for long-term performance against UV and weather.
When we ship our doors to you we make sure they are well protected, eliminating worry or concern that your door might get damaged during shipment by an errant forklift driver. First, we place the doors in wood cases with heavy-duty insulation to protect the glass. We then wrap the jamb in layers of protective packing, even placing the jamb for double doors between the wood crates that contain the double doors. Last, and most importantly, we do something unique which no other door manufacturer does – we place the doors inside of a steel cage which also has metal feet. This is as good as crating gets.
We use the finest thermal barrier for metal doors and windows available. Our thermal barrier technology was developed and patented in Switzerland where it has been used against cold and heat transfer for many years - and proven to be highly effective. U Values of .41 or higher do not pass code in many building districts. In those areas, U values must be lower than U.32. The lower the U value the better. The common U Value is .41 but at Monarch Custom Doors our U Value is .27 (52% better) For R values the higher the better.
