For more than 20 years, Monarch Custom Doors has manufactured made-to-order wrought iron doors and hand-crafted wood doors for projects across the United States and Canada.
Before that, our team built luxury homes across Texas, several of which were featured in publications including LUX Magazine.
That sequence shapes how we work. Coming to doors from the construction side means we think in rough openings, jamb depths, and swing clearances first, and design second. Every door leaves the shop built to a specific opening rather than pulled from a stock size chart.
Most door companies say handcrafted and leave it there. Here is what that actually means on a Monarch door.
Iron you can verify. Our wrought iron doors are hand-forged from 12-gauge steel. Most of the industry works in 14 or 16-gauge. Thicker steel is why our doors hold their shape and their security rating over decades instead of years.
Thermal numbers you can put in a spec. Our thermal barrier system is patented in Switzerland and reaches a U-factor of 0.27 and an R-value of 3.70. A common iron door sits at 0.41 and 2.44. In jurisdictions requiring a U-factor below 0.32, that difference decides whether the door passes.
Finishes engineered to survive weather. Every one of our 17 metal colors goes through a 14-step process: rust-proofing, primer, color, four separate baking cycles, and a clear coat. The paint is a zinc-rich fluorocarbon epoxy, which is what holds color against UV instead of chalking out after a few summers.
Glass chosen for the opening, not the catalog. Twenty glass patterns run from fully clear to fully obscured, all in insulated dual-pane tempered glass with argon fill. Low-E, impact-resistant, and security glass are available where the build calls for them.
Made to your opening. No stock sizing. Send us the rough opening and we forge or carve to it. Most doors run 16 to 17 weeks from design approval to delivery.
Built from whatever you have. A photo, a CAD file, or a sketch on a napkin. Our artisans work from all three, and we regularly replicate an existing door for a second entrance or rebuild a design a client found elsewhere in a different material or size.
Architects and builders come to us for the specifications: gauge, thermal ratings, ADA clear openings, and drawings that match what actually arrives on site.
Homeowners come to us for entry doors, home theater doors, wine cellar doors, and matching gates and railings that carry the same scrollwork and finish across the whole property.
Institutional and commercial buyers come to us for church doors built to ADA-accessible entry requirements, and for security and bulletproof doors that read as a custom entry first and a hardened one second.
Whichever group you fall into, you deal with one point of contact from design through delivery. Building committees and project managers do not get relayed between departments.
Every door leaves our shop pre-hung and crated, braced inside its own frame so it arrives square after a cross-country haul.
We ship across the United States and Canada.

To get an accurate quote back quickly, have four things ready: the rough opening width and height, your ZIP code, the product code from any design on our site, and whether you want single or double.
No design chosen yet? Send a photo, a CAD file, or a sketch. We will work from any of them.
