Beautiful Security Doors That Don’t Look Like Security Doors

Not every security door has to look like a bank vault. Monarch’s bulletproof and bullet-resistant doors are built into the same wrought iron, wood, and mixed-material designs you’ll find across our full catalog, so the protection is structural, not cosmetic.

We build two tiers depending on what you need.

Level 1 covers reinforced construction: an all-steel 12-gauge wrought iron door, impact glass in place of standard tempered glass, and a burglar-resistant handle set. It’s the right starting point if forced entry and impact resistance are the priority.

Level 2 adds bullet-resistant materials into the build. That means bullet-resistant plating layered between two 12-gauge wrought iron panels, bulletproof glass, or multiple bullet-resistant layers built into a custom wood door. Each option can be combined with a burglar-resistant handle set for a fully hardened entry.

Every bulletproof and security door is custom-forged to your opening, whether you’re protecting a private residence, an estate, or a commercial entry. Lead times run 16 to 17 weeks depending on configuration and finish.

Bulletproof Doors: Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a Level 1 and Level 2 security door?

Level 1 focuses on forced-entry and impact resistance: all-steel 12-gauge construction, impact glass, and a burglar-resistant handle set. Level 2 adds bullet-resistant materials, either plating between steel layers, bullet-resistant glass, or bullet-resistant layers built into a wood door.

Does a bulletproof door have to look industrial or armored?

No. Every security upgrade is built into Monarch's existing wrought iron, wood, and mixed-material designs, so the door reads as a custom entry door first and a hardened one second.

Will a bulletproof or bullet-resistant door add noticeable weight to my frame?

Yes, layered steel and bullet-resistant glass add weight compared to a standard door. Our team specifies reinforced hinges, frames, and hardware to match during the design process.

How long does a custom bulletproof door take to build?

Most bulletproof and security doors run 16 to 17 weeks depending on configuration, glass type, and finish.
