Every piece is powder-coated over prepared steel, which seals the surface against moisture. That coating is what prevents rust, and it holds up in coastal and freeze-thaw climates. Touch-up paint is supplied so any chips from installation or impact can be sealed before they spread.
Yes. Monarch gates are built to accept automation, with hinges and framing sized for the extra load an operator puts on them. Swing gates typically use an arm or underground operator, and slide gates run on a track with a rack-driven motor.
The automation hardware itself, including the operator, safety sensors, keypad and intercom, is supplied and wired by your gate installer or a low-voltage contractor. Tell us at quote stage that the gate will be automated so we build the hinge side and frame accordingly.

A Juliet balcony has no floor at all. It is a railing mounted across the outside of a full-height window or a door opening, so the window can open fully without anyone stepping out. The ironwork does the same safety job, but it attaches to the wall or window frame rather than to a deck.
Juliet balconies cost less and need no structural balcony beneath them, which is why they show up on renovations where adding a real balcony is not practical.
